Why is there a "You have leases to review" message on my dashboard?

The message indicates one or more of your tenants utilized our self-registration option to enter the property and lease details for your rental property.  Once you complete our simple lease confirmation process the tenant will be able to utilize our rental reporting service.

1. Expand the "You have leases to review." section on your Dashboard.

2. Select Review within the "You have leases to review" section.
3. If the lease information is correct, select Yes in the "Does everything look correct?" section.  If the lease information is incorrect, please select No and the tenant will need to correct the information and submit a new review request.

4. Select Next.
5. Confirm your role with the property:
- Select Yes if you are the owner of the property, or No if you are the property manager.  If you are the property manager, please enter the owner's name.  (Note: This information is only used for our internal verification process as the information is not shared with the tenant.)
- Select Yes if the rental property was purchased in the last 6 months, if not please select No.  If Yes, please enter the seller's name that you bought the property from.  (Note: This information is also used for our internal verification process as the information is not shared with the tenant.)

6. Select Next.
7. Confirm your level of involvement with the payment verification process:
- Select Yes if you prefer to allow your tenants to self-report future payments as Paid/Received.  If you would prefer to manually verify the payments as they are Received, please select No.  (Note: If a payment is incorrectly marked as Paid/Received by a tenant, you will still have the option to remove the verification from our system.)
- Select Yes if you would like to be notified each time a tenant marks a payment as Paid/Received.  Select No if you do not need to receive an email for each tenant verification.
- Select Yes if you would like to receive a summary of payments being reported to our partner credit bureaus for your review.  Select No if you do not need to receive the reporting summary each month.

8. Select Next.
9. Select Submit to complete the review process.

Next Steps:
1. PaymentReport will complete an internal verification process to review the property and lease information provided by both you and the tenant.
2. If the lease is approved by PaymentReport, the lease will be updated to Verified within our system and all past payments will automatically be updated to Paid/Received by the system.
3. If you allow tenants to self-report future payments, the tenant will need to mark the payment records in our system as Paid/Received as they are paid to you.  If you do not allow the tenant to self-report, please use the article below for instructions on verifying future payments as Paid/Received.

Thank you for using the service!
